Why Tobacco Dock
The company had used the same venue for the past few years, and was starting to outgrow in terms of size and creativity. They appreciated the simplistic, packaged and well-priced nature of the Christmas offer at Tobacco Dock, whilst having the ability to create their own vision of a festival style Christmas party. This included different points of interest and intrigue for guests to discover throughout the night, which the venue and it’s many rooms is perfect for. The demographic of the party also lent itself well to the venue; guests were excited by the history and diversity of events held here.
Experience at Tobacco Dock
The team brought in an external AV and production company to help create their vision, supported by the in-house teams at Tobacco Dock. The Winter Secret Garden theme already installed was expanded and combined with other elements to create a fully functioning festival, including the installation of 8 different themed food trikes, 6 different styled photo experiences and booths, 2 glitter stations and a cosy yet cool outdoor sheltered cinema. A branded Ice Bar was also created, featuring ice-cold vodka shots, served from bespoke carved ice shot glasses.
The Tobacco Dock Food team worked hard on a menu that was current, delicious and warming, to serve a diverse crowd with multiple dietary needs, wants and desires. A street food market served the masses, featuring dishes such as Mushroom & Truffle Mac ‘n’ Cheese, Buttermilk Fried Chicken and Smoked Ale Pie and Mash. Bespoke welcome cocktails delighted guests on entry, and our themed bars served people right through until 1am. A post-event survey found that 95% of guests liked or loved the event at Tobacco Dock, and positive food feedback specifically rose from 13% at their previous venue, to 73% at Tobacco Dock.
