Our aim, quite simply is to provide delicious and wonderfully styled fine food, helping to make your event a day full of great memories. Over the years Tapenade has become known for its passion for innovative food and excellent service allowing us to offer a catering operation that is totally focused on quality, detail and individual customer needs.
Over the years Tapenade has provided hospitality catering at numerous chalets at both the Farnborough and Paris Air Shows. Our intuitive ability to be able to deliver catering that exceeds our clients’ expectations whist still adhering to the strict security, health and safety measures that are in place with an event of this nature has lead to us working with Goodrich for a total of six consecutive Airshows. In addition Tapenade has worked with GKN, ATC, UTC and Parker Aerospace.
Tapenade was awarded the contract to provide the hospitality catering at the Royal International Air Show at RAF Fairford and in July 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015, delivered delicious menus to 17 clients and 5,200 guests across 3 days and is looking forward to working at this renowned show again this year.
Tapenade caterered for 4125 people during the week at the air show over 12 chalets,
Tapenade catered for just over 3,000 people in 12 Chalets and over 1,200 people across a selection of exhibition stands
– With the air show being such a large logistical space, this event it’s self is challenging, especially year on year as tapenade grow, gaining more clients which results in them being further apart.
– Need to ensure that each individual chalet has the correct cooking equipment to match the menu for the number of guests that we are catering for.
– Anything additional you think we should be mentioning here – not sure if I am along the right lines…
The rain this year was a big challenge, as this shut down the halls early on the Monday 11th – however, we continued with our drinks receptions under mobile phone light for a s long as possible until the halls were evacuated. There was also many chalet rows that were closed and this disrupted vehicle movement, however we continued and this didn’t affect our level of service across all clients.
Space in the chalet is always a challenge, as many are small chalets (and caterers don’t always get the desired space required) but we are really good and working with what we are giving and always making this work, you need to ensure you can fit all of the kitchen equipment, cutlery, crockery, glassware and you don’t think about it but there has to be room for all of the staff as well! – not sure how to write this to come across well!

You always answered promptly and extensive to my emails/request changes and had good solutions that fitted me and you. I felt very good taken care of during the whole time.
Your team did an amazing job onsite. I had almost nothing to do, you took care of everything very independent. The look, taste and quality of the food was wonderful, I heard many compliments about the food. The DS team felt very comfortable with you and saw you all as part of our team.
