Message from our Managing Director

When I first embarked on the adventure which would become the Eventist Group, I had a vision of exactly where I wanted my company to be in the future.  Celebrating over 20 years of business this year, I am proud that my goal has not wavered during that time, despite changing and sometimes challenging business climates.   My goal remains to deliver exceptional catering, events and opportunities to an ever constant and every growing portfolio of clients.  I think of the Eventist Group as a portal to an exciting and innovative world of possibilities, brands which can join together to create full event capability or utilised individually for each of their own remarkable qualities.   Business today requires flexibility, versatility and portability which is exactly why our group of brands offers the range and cohesion to bring any event to life, anywhere.

As we all prepare for a potentially changing world and exit from Europe, we are presented with an opportunity to prove our flexibility and adaptability through our business partnerships and client relationships.   This is a chance to look at new ways to support our clients, a requirement to ensure we and our clients stand out in the crowd and a guarantee to deliver to the best of our capability.

I am pleased to say that for us, our longevity, reputation and dependability offers us an exciting year ahead, a year to which we look forward to working with you and your achieving your objectives.

Is it really too early to be thinking about Christmas?

Actually no!  It’s a prime time for bookings.  For exclusive and large group clients the earlier the better to select prime or specific dates, before the launch into our wider mixed group parties begins.   We’re pleased to be offering some fantastic new themes this year across our 20 venues around the UK and Ireland, including Fly me to the Moon, Electric Jungle and the regional launch of Under the Christmas Tree, all offering stunning theming and an exciting range of additional options for our exclusive bookings.

The heart of our Eventist Group brands, our commitment to providing the best food has seen our catering brands expand to offer some of the finest catering in the UK.   Good food, locally sourced, sustainable and from a range of suppliers who have worked with us for years, were celebrating over 20 years of venue and client partnerships.

Tapenade Catering, Food by Dish, Tobacco Dock Food and Zafferano make up our Eventist Group catering brands, all offer high end, large group menu delivery as well as a variety of dining options for smaller, intimate groups and parties.  Our portfolio of venue partners is unrivalled, with options ranging from royal palaces to private spaces.

We’re delighted that Josh Stanzl has recently joined the team as Group Development Chef to further inspire our team and menu’s.

Innovative, creative and established, new menus and fresh ideas are all critical to ensuring we remain constantly in touch with food trends, whether its fine dining, street food, bowl food, a party of 30 or an event of 5000+.

Crab & coconut doughnut

This crab & coconut doughnut is my personal favourite, its light and fresh and taking something traditionally sweet and adding savoury flavours is a real talking point for all wedding guests.

“Ham & Eggs” crispy ham hock, egg yolk puree

“Ham & Eggs” is a well known British classic, we love to take these dishes and transform them into fun bites that everyone can relate too.

Cured & flamed salmon, cucumber ketchup, caviar

The cured and flamed salmon is a real visual canapé, the salmon is cured in salt & sugar for 40 minutes then washed off. Our chefs then blow torch it in front of the wedding guests for a exciting bit of theatre, this actually has a purpose too, it gives the salmon a smokey flavour. We then garnish with caviar and a ketchup made from cucumbers.

The spectacular is our vernacular…

As a Group we love the excitement, panache and spectacle of high quality food and inspirational events, so for us it was only natural to welcome the artful and creative Zafferano into the Group. November 2018 saw the acquisition of not only one of the greatest catering brands in London but also the theatre, style, inspiration and “show” that this amazing brand brings to its guests and clients.

Syon Walled Garden

We already work with the beautiful historic Syon House and are delighted to announce that we are now working with the Syon team to run the stunning Walled Garden marquee in the delightful parkland grounds. An enchanting venue, we adore the flexibility this remarkable venue space offers, intimate yet large scale, the marquee offers the best of all worlds in its versatility. Open from May to October the space is perfect for weddings, summer events, corporate events, team building, festivals, experiences and more.

Tobacco Dock Food

TDF section – Can we re-word this to something like … We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Tobacco Dock providing in house catering and event management at the stunning Grade I listed venue. The award winning Tobacco Dock Food team deliver a plethora of menus and event styles across the year, 2018 was a record high with over 120,000 guests.

A land full of dreams

Last month saw giant elephants, 12 foot circus characters and contortionists put on a show like no other the launch of the magical Dream Circus at Tobacco Dock, our Christmas events theme for 2019

We worked with our friends at IE Live, Table Art, Gravity Live and Ideas Box to bring together the Dream Circus extravaganza at Tobacco Dock.

Charged with driving the group’s seven brands in to a new era, Josh is poised for the role through his extensive background in events catering. Having worked his way around some of the best restaurants in England including Drakes, South Lodge Hotel and The Pass, Josh then stepped in to the food operation side of things at Goodwood.

The Summer Season … making the most out of the big events!

Hospitality continues to play a major role in many business calendars, with companies taking advantage of the social and networking elements these large scale events bring. An opportunity to impress, say thank you, discuss or just simply get to know new faces, this concept is as relevant in our digitally focussed lives as it ever was.

We continue to see massive growth in corporate entertaining, this year attending Paris airshow for the 8th time providing chalet catering, as well as running the catering at RIAT, for which we won Event Caterer of the Year in 2018. Our experience pans across events such as Henley Regatta, Glastonbury festival, MOTO as well as many other sporting and lifestyle events and festivals.

As our corporate and private clients look for new and innovative ways to celebrate events, the Eventist Group creative thinkers are brimming over with ideas for bringing spectacular to life.

Running over 40 major events around the UK and working with some of the worlds leading brands, our production and AV brand ieLive may appear to be nuts and bolts and equipment however prepare to be surprised. Often seen as the “techies” in the background, our inspired creative thinkers can pull things out of hats which would appear to be impossible.
